Local planning by community

  • Downtown, Oildale, and northeast Bakersfield: confirm your Clearinghouse designation and prepare your DER contact before your evaluation.
  • Rosedale, Seven Oaks, and southwest Bakersfield: plan appointment and documentation time separately from any carrier-authorized testing.
  • Shafter, Wasco, Delano, and McFarland: agricultural and freight drivers should confirm whether their test was FMCSA-regulated rather than assuming every workplace test is DOT-covered.
  • Lamont, Arvin, and southern Kern County: coordinate with your carrier or C/TPA before paying for a drug test; an independent test may not satisfy return-to-duty requirements.
  • Taft, Tehachapi, and other Kern County communities: ask about availability and evaluation format before planning a trip.

For drivers working along SR 99 or I-5

Do not accept an FMCSA-covered driving assignment while prohibited. Schedule your SAP appointment around an authorized work or travel plan, and verify employer testing arrangements before anticipating another dispatch.

The communities above describe local inquiries, not additional branch offices.
